Marathon notes
One of the longer established fixtures in the marathon calendar, the Balloch to Clydebank Road Race was first run in 1928. Originally billed as a “marathon race of 12 miles”, it was organised by Clydesdale Harriers to coincide with the Clydebank Students Charities Day. In 2000 the race was extended to half marathon distance.
