The Beachy Head Marathon used to be known as the Seven Sisters Marathon. The route is a cross country one, taking in the magnificent scenery of the South Downs to the west of Eastbourne. The course is a very tough one though, with lots of hills and a bracing wind driving in from the English Channel.
