There are general entries for the Brighton Marathon, but when these are full up there are often reserved charity places available for runners – and a huge roster of charities signed up to the marathon. The marathon organisers have also started to put on several training days in the run in to the marathon to help runners with their preparation for this large marathon. The Brighton Marathon is keen to attract elite UK marathons runners and hopes to bring its course record down to something inside 2:20 in due course.
