The Snowdonia Marathon is one of the more difficult races in Britain. The race was originally run under the auspices of the National Trust but is now run by a local non-profit making body called Marathon Eryri Cyf. The race raises money for local good causes each year and has won awards in the past for being one of the best marathons in the UK. The race takes in some demanding and spectacular scenery around Mount Snowdon and the Snowdonia National Park.
