The White Peak Marathon and Half Marathon are run on compacted limestone and cinder surfaces on former railway tracks making it akin to road running. There’s one short section of road racing where traffic may be a distraction, but otherwise it’s the great Derbyshire countryside from start to finish. The event is organised by Matlock AC.
